Accommodations:
Sea Level Bed & Breakfast, a deluxe Alaskan B & B on Wrangell Narrows in Petersburg, Alaska. The building was designed to look like a renovated warehouse. The B and B portion is made up of two rooms, each with a private bathroom and private outside entrance. The rooms can be rented separately or together using the connecting door. The large front room includes a sitting area, dining table, efficiency kitchen unit, bathroom with tub, and a king bed that can be configured into two twins. The smaller room has a queen size bed, two easy chairs, and bathroom with shower. Unlike more traditional B & B's there are no shared inside spaces at Sea Level. Bring your computer and enjoy wireless internet access. Each room has a telephone, cable TV and VCR or DVD. The King room features five large view windows, the Queen room has one large window for a close up view of seabirds, eagles, seals, sea lions and active boat traffic. Humpback and Killer Whales sometimes frolic right in front of this one of a kind lodging.
Located within easy walking distance of the schools, the boat harbors and downtown Petersburg. Approximately one mile from either the Petersburg Airport or the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry Terminal.
The refrigerator and cupboards of the front room are well stocked with delicious continental breakfast foods. If you have special dietary needs your host will do what she can to accommodate you. Breakfast will be served on a tray for those renting only the queen room.
Your Host: Sea Level Bed and Breakfast owner and host, Jean Ellis, was born, raised and lived her entire life in the Petersburg, Alaska area. Her maternal grandfather moved to Southeast Alaska from California 1908. Her childhood was spent at her parent’s floating logging camp. Jean was part owner / chief cook and all around hand of a 52’ charter boat for many years. She enjoyed sharing southeast Alaska with visitors from all over the world. Jean has retired from her job as Chief of Staff for a member of the Alaska State House of Representatives. While she wants to respect your privacy, Jean will be happy to share information about Alaska including its natural beauty, it’s history and it’s politics.
Rates and Policies: Sea Level asks for a deposit of one nights rent to hold the room. Deposit will be returned minus a 10% handling fee if reservations are canceled 14 or more days prior to arrival. Consideration will be given for extenuating circumstances. Rates do not include City tax of 10%.
Children are welcome. No smoking. Maximum occupancy is two person per room (Special needs will be considered).
